Physical Therapist (PT) - General

Travel Acute Care Physical Therapist
Schedule: - Weekend requirement: At least 2 weekend days per pay period (every 2 weeks); approximately 23 weekend days per month on average. - Orientation: 40 hours.
Assignment Details: - Daily census: Approximately 30 patients. - Patient visits: About 8 visits per day for PT.
Requirements: - Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required. - Travel experience required. - Charting experience with Epic preferred. - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS. - Current state PT license required; compact license must be in hand at submission. - References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform acute care evaluations and develop treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. - Facilitate patient transfers and ambulation, including gait training and sit-to-stand exercises. - Utilize assistive devices and specialized equipment for patient safety and mobility. - Provide post-operative care for joint replacements and support stroke rehabilitation. - Monitor vital signs and assess patient progress to inform discharge planning. - Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge needs.
Compliance / Notes: - Must supply SSN and DOB during compliance. - Background: Facility does not accept certain background check results. - Holiday requirement: Must commit to working 3 of these 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). - All scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the hiring process.
