Experienced Cook for Mid-shift in Assisted Living Community

We are seeking an individual with a passion for cooking and a love for seniors! We offer a fun and engaging environment where we get to hone our craft and enrich the lives of our residents.

The position we are currently seeking to fill is primarily 10am - 6pm with alternating weekends (5:30am - 5:30pm). Due to the nature of our business, alternating weekends are non-negotiable, but we offer days off before and after full shift weekends to ensure work/ life balance. Duties

Prepare and cook quality meals.
Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Assist with food presentation, garnishing dishes to enhance visual appeal and customer satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations, adhering to sanitation standards at all times
Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques to maximize efficiency and minimize waste

Experience

Proven experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or institutional settings is highly desirable but not required.
Prior kitchen experience in fine dining restaurants or catering environments is preferred but not required.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices across various culinary settings.
Experience working in the food industry with a focus on restaurant service or kitchen operations will be advantageous.
