Serving as the primary point of contact for referral sources, the part-time Central Intake Admissions Coordinator will coordinate the intake and admissions process for patients seeking admission to skilled nursing or long-term care facilities, working remotely on weekends with potential evening coverage. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial clinical review to determine patient appropriateness for services Collaborate with referral sources to gather required documentation Verify Medicare Common Working File and insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations Required Qualifications Background in clinical care such as nursing, respiratory therapy, social work, or related field preferred Previous experience as admissions coordinator in a clinical healthcare setting preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and reimbursement processes Experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic referral portals such as CarePort and Epic
