Job Description
The Line Cook will be an essential member of a large kitchen team specializing in American cuisine. This role requires hands-on food preparation and cooking, working collaboratively with over seven cooks to deliver quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. Operating grills, fryers, ovens, stoves, and other standard kitchen equipment, the Line Cook ensures each plate meets the highest standards of taste and presentation during shifts typically lasting 6 to 8 hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items following menu specifications
- Plate dishes with attention to presentation and portion control
- Manage inventory and replenish stock as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and workstations
- Operate grills, fryers, ovens, stoves, food processors, and other kitchen equipment
- Perform quality control checks to ensure food safety and consistency
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
- Collaborate effectively with a large kitchen team
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in culinary arts
