IT Director, Salesforce Platform Owner

As IT Director, Salesforce Platform Owner, you will own the vision, roadmap, and governance of Heartflow's Salesforce ecosystem and serve as the executive liaison between IT and the business.

Salesforce at Heartflow supports more than 500 users across Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Production, and Quality Systems. Because the platform spans both commercial teams and highly regulated functions, this role calls for a leader who can move quickly on revenue-facing priorities while holding the line on compliance and data integrity.

You will act as a thought partner to business function leaders, chair the Enterprise Salesforce Steering Committee, reconcile competing departmental priorities, and turn complex business processes into a prioritized, defensible roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Roadmap & Governance : Chair the Enterprise Salesforce Steering Committee. Act as product owner for the platform, prioritizing investment based on business value, compliance obligations, and ROI, and communicating trade-offs transparently to stakeholders.
• Business Partnership : Serve as the primary IT point of contact for department heads. Lead discovery sessions to understand their workflows in depth and translate what you learn into clear business requirements and user stories.
• Cross-Functional IT Collaboration : Partner with IT development and platform teams to hand off groomed requirements for execution in an Agile/Scrum model, staying engaged through delivery.
• Process Optimization & Adoption : Audit commercial and clinical workflows to find bottlenecks and manual workarounds. Champion adoption, lead User Acceptance Testing, and drive change management for new releases.
• Data & Revenue Integrity : Work with business and IT teams to enforce Master Data Management practices, and ensure Salesforce (front office) and NetSuite (back office) stay integrated so data silos and reconciliation gaps don't form.
• Compliance & Validation : Ensure platform changes follow Heartflow's change control, SOX, and quality system requirements, partnering with Quality and InfoSec on validation and access governance where applicable.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience : 8-10+ years in Enterprise Applications, Business Systems, or RevOps, including 3+ years in a Director-level or strategic Product Owner / Business Partner role.
• Salesforce Depth : Strong functional and architectural understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud and Service Cloud required; CPQ, Health Cloud, or Revenue Cloud a significant plus).
• Stakeholder Management : Be an exceptional communicator with a track record of resolving conflicting priorities and building consensus across departments with different incentives.
• Industry Experience : Life Sciences, MedTech, Biotech, or another regulated public company environment (SOX, HIPAA, FDA, quality systems) strongly preferred.
• Methodology : Solid grounding in Agile/Scrum and in translating ambiguous business needs into deliverables the IT development team can build.
• Education : Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary compensation range is $220,000 to $270,000 per year, bonus, and equity. #LI-IB1 #LI-Hybrid
