This short-term warehouse role focuses on moving inventory between locations, operating a sit-down forklift, and supporting daily shipping, receiving, and general material handling activities. You will pack and unpack boxes, help maintain accurate inventory records, and use basic warehouse technology such as RF scanners and label printers in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory from one location to another safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and transport materials as directed.
• Pack and unpack boxes, ensuring items are handled carefully and organized correctly.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks and staging materials.
• Use RF scanners and label printers to update inventory records and print labels as needed.
• Perform general labor and material handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and stacking items up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support safety and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow all warehouse procedures and safety guidelines while working on your feet for extended periods.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Hands-on warehouse experience in roles such as packing, picking, loading, unloading, or general labor.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to use RF scanners and labeling systems to track inventory and print labels.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks during the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a packer or material handler in a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with basic inventory systems and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail when packing, labeling, and handling materials.
• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to completing a short-term assignment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse that is not climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. You will work around standard warehouse equipment, including sit-down forklifts, RF scanners, and label printers, and spend most of the shift on your feet. Casual, practical attire suitable for manual labor and warehouse conditions is appropriate.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Arlington, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
