Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Part-Time Locum Tenens Job Bay Area, California Start Fall 2026
A community behavioral health organization in the Bay Area is seeking a Board-Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a long-term locum tenens assignment beginning in October 2026. Position HighlightsChildren and adolescent patient population
Approximately one-year assignment
Target start date: October 2026
Credentialing and onboarding typically take 3-5 months Schedule
2 days per week
8-hour days (approximately 16 hours weekly) with flexibility for 9-hour days
Hybrid position with a strong preference for onsite coverage
Split schedule between 2 clinics clinics Clinical Details
6-8 patients per day
Mix of new evaluations and follow-up appointments
New patient evaluations: 60 minutes
Follow-up visits: 30 minutes
1-2 hours of administrative time built into each day
Treating PTSD, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, and co-occurring substance use disorders Requirements
Board-Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (MD/DO)
Active California license preferred
Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe psychiatric medications for pediatric patients
