Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour or Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 or 8 Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience License: NY State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Must be able to start on 01/05/2027. - Must have 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience. - If the traveler lives within 50 miles of the facility, they will be considered local. - Call is required with a frequency of 11-14 days, including weekdays and rotating weekends. - Minimum response time for call is less than 30 minutes. - Holiday call expectations include 24-hour call on holidays on a rotating basis. Description: This position requires the ability to start on 01/05/2027. Recent experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations is essential. Candidates will be responsible for patient care in the Cath Lab setting. Expected skills include procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Responsibilities include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in monitoring procedural sedation. Familiarity with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring is essential. Nurses will perform both right heart and left heart catheterizations. Inclusion of emergency medications and assisting with central line insertion is required. Candidates must exhibit skills in infection prevention and isolation precautions. Preparation includes blood product administration and IV infusion pump management. This role requires the ability to scrub procedures and perform sheath removal and monitoring. All requests for time off must be included upon submission. Travelers who do not have a NY License can be submitted if they have applied for it. Mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccination policies apply, with exemptions allowed.
