We are also open to hiring at our offices in Denver or Chicago! This is a hybrid position that will require three days per week in the office. As a member of Zurichs Underwriting management team, you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply and hone your underwriting management and marketing skills. Specifically, you will manage a market facing underwriting unit, and aid in making appropriate underwriting decisions. In this role you will be responsible for:/pulliManaging up to 6-8 market facing underwriters who proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities./liliIdentifying new growth opportunities with key distributors for areas of responsibility./liliEnsuring that accounts are qualified, and meet with the organizations appetite, balanced with sound business opportunity./liliAlong with underwriters in areas supervised, making agents/broker/customer and on-sight calls with a planned and well-prepared purpose./liliOverseeing negotiations of Terms Conditions and closes deals./liliEnsuring cross-sell within areas of responsibility to increase product density with the account./liliProviding continuous coaching on sales best practices, mentor staff to develop strong broker and client networks as related to industries underwritten by Business Unit./li/ulpBasic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and 10 or more years of experience in the Underwriting, Market Facing, Broker, Carrier or Risk Management area within the Commercial Insurance industry OR Bachelors Degree with 20 or more years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support area within the Commercial Insurance industry AND Experience in Energy Casualty business segment 2 or more years of people management experience/ppPreferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree CPCU Advanced knowledge of Energy Casualty product lines and commercial insurance industry Experience leading and managing marketfacing underwriters Strong Broker relationships in Energy Casualty Excellent communication skills Excellent skills in relationship building Strong presentation skills Results oriented/ppYour pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. The proposed Salary range for this position is $200,000.00 - $285,000.00, with Global Specialty Incentive Plan bonus eligibility set at 50%.
