Civil Engineer Duties
As a Civil Engineer, you will perform the following duties:
- Assist in a variety of operations at Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP) facilities and projects to meet obligations, environmental requirements, and regulatory requirements.
- Use computer models to simulate, analyze, plan reservoir operations, and inform decisions.
- Participate on and/or lead technical work groups or teams for hydrologic investigations.
- Develop, modify, and utilize databases to maintain hydrologic or engineering data for conducting operational and planning analyses.
- Interpret, analyze, and evaluate hydrologic and engineering data on a regular basis.
- Work on complex or controversial water issues whose solutions require a proven understanding of hydrology, engineering, water resource and reservoir management, and other applicable disciplines.
- Provide current information on policy, resource management, water regulations, and technical requirements to stakeholders.
