Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an ongoing locum opportunity in New York. This assignment offers guaranteed full-time hours, flexible shift options, and a collaborative Emergency Department environment.

Assignment Details

Ongoing coverage
Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Emergency Department coverage

Schedule

Multiple shift options available, including:

7:00 AM 7:00 PM
11:00 AM 11:00 PM
7:00 PM 7:00 AM
9:00 AM 5:00 PM
4:30 PM 12:30 AM

Day, evening, and night shifts available throughout the week.

Practice Setting

Emergency Department
Epic EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat Emergency Department patients
Perform emergency medicine assessments and procedures within scope
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff
Document patient encounters in Epic

Requirements

Nurse Practitioners

Graduate of an accredited NP program
Active New York RN and NP licenses
FNP certification (AANP or ANCC)
Active New York DEA

Physician Assistants

Graduate of an accredited PA program
Active New York PA license
NCCPA certification
Active New York DEA

Certifications

ACLS (AHA)
PALS (AHA)
ATLS

Additional Requirements

Active state license required
Active DEA (and CSR if applicable)
Current immunizations and credentialing documents
New graduates may be considered with appropriate training
