Nutrition Care Associate

Position Overview Perform food and guest service duties under general supervision. Roles may include patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning. Position Details Part‑time; 20 hours per week Pay: $17.68 – $22.99 per hour, based on experience Availability: Sunday–Saturday, 6:30a.m.–8:00p.m. (variable shift assignments) Variable shifts: 6:30a.m.–3:00p.m. and 3:00p.m.–8:00p.m. Requires rotating holiday and weekend coverage Benefits eligible: Medical, Dental, Vision, Education assistance Essential Functions Deliver and present trays to patients using the standard process. Prepare food according to system standards (e.g., salads, sandwiches, vegetables, fruit). Follow nutrition services practices (dining experience, meal delivery, stock levels). Perform housekeeping tasks: cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment. Process accurate cash/credit transactions and resolve basic customer service issues. Skills Active listening Coordinating tasks with others Guest focused Clear communication Attention to detail Qualifications Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification (required by first day of work) At least one year of experience in customer service, food service or patient service (preferred) Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred) Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred) Physical Requirements Must be able to read, see, and interpret information, labels, and equipment. Frequently interact with customers and communicate effectively. Requires manual dexterity, ability to manipulate equipment, lift, pull, push, and transport items up to heavy weights. Work may involve standing, walking, bending, and exposure to temperature extremes and cleaning chemicals.
