Litigation Associate

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana

Position Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join our New Orleans office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful case responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and the chance to work alongside accomplished lawyers on complex and high-impact matters.

As a Litigation Associate, you will support all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through discovery, motion practice, hearings, trial preparation, and appeal. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and critical thinker who is comfortable managing multiple priorities and contributing meaningfully to client service and case strategy.

• Manage assigned litigation matters with increasing responsibility and attorney oversight as appropriate
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and briefs
• Assist with written discovery, document review, depositions, and fact development
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal case teams
• Support hearings, mediations, trial preparation, and other key litigation events

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice in Louisiana or eligible for admission
• 2–5 years of litigation experience preferred
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced practice

This position includes billable hour expectations in line with firm standards. Associates are expected to track time accurately, meet utilization targets, and contribute to matter profitability.
