This role delivers direct psychiatric care while also providing clinical consultation to mental health and healthcare staff. The position works within state guidelines to support consistent, high-quality psychiatric services across the facility. Clinical consultation and supervision are sought as required under applicable collaborative practice requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and follow-up care while exercising independent medical judgment.Monitor and manage psychotropic medications, including effectiveness, side effects, and required follow-up.Collaborate with mental health, medical, and administrative teams to ensure consistent psychiatric and mental health services.Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in required meetings, consultations, and on-call coverage.Support crisis intervention, referrals, transfers, and emergency or involuntary treatment processes as allowed by scope of practice.Qualifications & RequirementsEducationMaster in Science of Nursing or Post-Master's Certificate from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a specialty in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan.ExperienceMinimum one (1) year of experience as a PMHNP required.Corrections experience in a PMHNP role preferred.Licenses/CertificationsUnrestricted current license to practice as a PMHNP in the state of practice.Current board certification as a PMHNP.Current DEA Registration.Current BLS certification.This position is available only to those who reside in the United States.We Are an Equal Employment Opportunity EmployerWe value the contributions of team members with a broad range of experiences, skills, and perspectives and are committed to providing equal employment opportunity for all.We encourage you to apply!
