Careerscape has partnered with a rapidly scaling technology company headquartered in Austin, TX to find a talented Remote Full Stack Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced developer who loves building robust, scalable web applications from the ground up. If you have a strong command of React and Node.js and enjoy owning both the frontend and backend, we'd love to connect.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable full stack web applications using React.js and Node.js
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and seamlessly integrate third-party platforms and data sources
- Deliver clean, thoroughly tested, and well-documented code that adheres to engineering best practices
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to ship impactful features on time
- Take part in code reviews, sprint planning, and system architecture discussions
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across frontend and backend systems
- Respond quickly to production issues, diagnosing and deploying fixes with minimal disruption
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on full stack software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in React.js and Node.js
- Proven track record building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Solid grasp of relational and non-relational databases — PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Comfortable working within Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and agile teams
- Sharp analytical mindset with a commitment to writing maintainable code
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent real-world experience
- Familiarity with TypeScript or GraphQL is a strong advantage
