Requirements:- Licensure: Current state administrator licensure of certification (required) or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of employment; Must maintain certification throughout employment.
- Maintain an active state of Illinois nursing license (LPN or RN), preferred
- Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred. Relevant fields of study often include Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Gerontology, Nursing or similar disciplines providing a foundation in healthcare management and leadership.
- Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age and have a strong track record of successfully supervising, leading, and developing teams in a senior living management role.
- Minimum of three years of management experience in a senior living, healthcare or long-term care environment including a minimum of two years management working with persons with dementia.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with residents, their families, team members, and the local community
- Knowledge: A deep understanding of healthcare regulations, medical terminology, and med management protocol, compliance, and standards is crucial to ensure that the facility operates within legal and ethical boundaries.
- Commitment to each resident’s well-being and staff development.
- Prior experience in staff recruitment, training and development is strongly preferred.
- Health: Must clear TB and Health Evaluation, and any other health requirements as required by the State of Illinois Department of Health and Environment rules and regulations.
Driving:
- Submission and possession of a valid in-state driver’s license is required.
- An MVR will be processed in accordance with The Arbor’s policies.
Background Check and Drug Screening:
- Meet initial and ongoing requirements of the Health Care Worker Background Check Act
- Pass drug screening in accordance with The Arbor's policies
Physical Requirements:
Ability to maneuver.
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead.
Ability to operate telephone.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to occasionally lift and transfer residents.
Ability to access and produce information from the computer.
Ability to understand written information.
Ability to see near and far with good depth perception.
