Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: OR Scrub Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 9 AM - 7 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Yes Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: CST preferred Description:Unit has 7 operating suites.Average number of cases per day is 18-20.Certifications required include ACLS and BLS.CST certification is preferred.Staffing ratios are 1:1 or 2:1.Electronic Medical Records system used is Cerner.Charge Nurse is available.OR techs are also available.RN staff have no weekend requirement.CSTs also have no weekend requirement.RNs must take call one week night per week and two 12-hour weekend call shifts a month.CSTs are also required to take call one week night per week and two 12-hour weekend call shifts a month.Call response time is 30 minutes.Holiday work is required.Scrub colors are provided.Television equipment is Phillips.Ventilators are available.Surgeons are on call 24/7.Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7.Pharmacy services are available 24/7.Shifts may vary between 8-hour and 10-hour shifts.Floating is limited to pre- and post-op only.Floor-specific orientation is provided.Common types of cases include laparoscopic, bariatric, orthopedic, neurological, urological, gynecological, and ENT.RN staff are not required to scrub, but it is preferred.Sterile processing certification options include IAHCSMM or CBSPD.Equipment used includes Steris and Sterrad.Duties include assembly of surgical sets and decontamination tasks.The cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for shorter assignments.The care setting is acute, and the trauma level is 3. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet Health
