Associate Attorney - Litigation and Legal Ethics

Job Overview A law firm seeks a talented Litigation Attorney to join its team in Annapolis, MD. This full-time, on-site role involves providing high-quality legal counsel on a wide range of matters, supporting legal research, document preparation, and case management. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, grow, and build a book of business. Duties Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and appeals. Provide expert legal counsel on complex litigation, employment law, and legal ethics issues. Prepare, review, and present legal documents to protect clients' interests. Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas for comprehensive solutions. Conduct in-depth legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Prepare and organize exhibits, affidavits, and other supporting documents. Draft administrative filings and advise on legal ethics issues. Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical case files. Prepare and file court documents, ensuring procedural compliance. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Assist in preparing deposition summaries and trial exhibits. Apply analytical skills to identify and resolve issues. Complete special projects and other related duties as assigned. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active membership and in good standing with the MD State Bar. Minimum of 1+ years of experience in litigation, focusing on complex matters. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Experience in legal ethics is a plus. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Driven, self‑motivated, with the ability to work and lead a team. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership and in good standing with the MD State Bar. Skills Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
