Groundman / Construction Laborer – Heavy Civil & Highway Construction

Power Labor is hiring hardworking  Groundmen and Construction Laborers for heavy civil, roadway, utility, and highway construction projects. This is a physically demanding outdoor position that offers steady work, competitive pay, and opportunities to grow within the construction industry.

What You'll Do

• Assist crews on heavy civil, utility, roadway, and infrastructure projects
• Support electricians, linemen, and field crews with materials, tools, and equipment
• Dig trenches and excavations for underground utilities
• Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the jobsite
• Operate hand and power tools including jackhammers, rotary hammers, saws, and other construction equipment
• Set up work zones, barricades, and traffic control devices
• Perform site cleanup and maintain a safe work environment
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Perform physically demanding labor throughout the workday

What We're Looking For

• Previous construction, labor, utility, landscaping, paving, excavation, concrete, or roadway experience preferred
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance
• Ability to follow directions and work safely as part of a team
• Electrical experience is helpful but  not required
