JT's Buffalo is seeking an experienced Expeditor to join our team. Set in the heart of Elmwood Village, JT's offers contemporary Italian fine dining in a 125-seat dining room, along with a private event space upstairs. We are proud to be part of a family-owned hospitality group that has been part of Buffalo's dining scene since 1992, alongside Siena, 800 Maple and Rocco's Wood Fired Pizza.

The Expeditor is the essential link between our kitchen and our dining room. Every plate passes through your hands before it reaches the guest. Your composure, precision and sense of timing set the rhythm for the entire service.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate the pass: organize incoming tickets, call orders to the line and keep every table moving smoothly
• Coordinate the pacing and firing of courses with the chef and service team so each course arrives at precisely the right moment
• Inspect every plate for accuracy, temperature, presentation and cleanliness before it leaves the kitchen
• Ensure allergies and special requests are communicated clearly and carried out without exception
• Direct each dish to the correct guest by seat position, and assist with delivering courses to the table as service requires
• Resolve refires and service challenges with discretion and composure
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu and specials
• Keep the pass immaculate, organized and fully stocked from setup through close
• Support the flawless execution of large parties and private events

Qualifications

• At least two years of expediting experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant, or comparable culinary or service experience and the ambition to grow into the role. Fine dining experience is strongly preferred
• A poised, articulate communicator who leads both the kitchen and the dining room with quiet authority
• Exceptional attention to detail and genuine pride in presentation
• Undivided focus throughout service, with personal devices set aside
• Dependable and punctual, with availability for evenings, weekends and holidays
• Able to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen
• Familiarity with Toast POS is a plus

Schedule
Shifts are primarily in the evening. JT's serves dinner seven nights a week and brunch on Sundays. Friday and Saturday availability is required. Business casual attire.
