A day in this role

Picture your morning starting with a review of open requisitions and manager profiles you’ve built for each client facility. You post fresh, compelling job ads, scan inbound applications, and begin sourcing nursing and allied professionals across job boards, social media, referrals, and professional networks. By midday, you’re screening candidates, assessing qualifications, cultural fit, and credentials, and submitting polished profiles through the appropriate VMS platform. You coordinate interview times, negotiate competitive pay packages based on bill rates, and ensure terms follow GSA and Express guidelines, including contract locks and travel stipends when applicable. Before you sign off, you align your weekly activities to Scorecard expectations and prep for possible after-hours on-call support.

What you’ll take ownership of

• Sourcing and placing candidates while upholding thorough credentialing for every role.
• Crafting and placing job advertisements that attract high-caliber nursing and allied talent.
• Developing and maintaining detailed hiring manager profiles to sharpen search accuracy.
• Coordinating contract lock processes and managing end-to-end recruitment workflows.
• Partnering with healthcare facility managers and department leaders to clarify job specs and organizational goals.
• Screening, interviewing, and evaluating candidates for skills, experience, and cultural alignment.
• Verifying licenses, certifications, background checks, and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiating competitive pay packages based on bill rates and terms (duration, travel stipends) in line with GSA and Express guidelines.
• Submitting candidates via the appropriate VMS platform and communicating updates promptly.
• Maintaining pipelines to ensure a steady flow of talent for current and future needs.
• Representing the employer brand professionally and promoting values, culture, and opportunity.
• Tracking industry trends, labor conditions, and recruiting best practices to enhance sourcing strategies.
• Answering phones, texts, and emails and assisting with additional Express Healthcare Staffing administrative functions to keep operations smooth.
• Working with urgency, prioritizing recruiting and sales-related tasks, and providing on-call support after hours when needed.
• Collaborating closely with teammates, maintaining punctual, regular, and predictable attendance, communicating clearly, staying calm under pressure, and taking direction respectfully.

What you bring

• Associate degree (or equivalent) from a two-year or technical school; or at least six months of experience/training ; or a comparable combination.
• Experience in recruiting, staffing, or human resources.
• Excellent verbal communication in English and strong relationship-building, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
• Strength in math, analysis, problem solving, and critical thinking.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and database tools to create reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and procedural manuals.
• Typing speed of 50+ WPM.
