Company Description Coalition Legal is dedicated to providing free legal services, primarily in Lake County, Illinois, to help our clients whose past criminal records create barriers in areas such as employment and housing, while restoring their sense of dignity and self‑worth. Our goal is for people whose past criminal records no longer reflect who they’ve become to realize their potential and thrive as fully contributing members of their communities. Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Analyst to interact with Coalition Legal management and staff, preparing periodic reports on client-related activity and providing data supporting public and private grant applications related to restorative justice activities in Lake County. This role requires computer and analytical skills, including a high level of proficiency with Excel. Hours 20-25 hours/month; flexible schedule Compensation $25-$30/hour Role Responsibilities Develop understanding of our system for evaluating applicants for expungement and sealing, driver’s license reinstatement, healthcare waivers, and other outcomes Download data from our case management software into Excel and extract summary data in support of organizational operations and to support grant applications that fund Coalition Legal’s work Prepare periodic (weekly and monthly) reports on client and case intakes and outcomes, utilizing a set of Microsoft Excel-based analytical tools Review and analyze data already entered in our case management software for accuracy and conformity with good database management practices Communicate clearly and effectively with Coalition Legal management and staff Requirements High school diploma Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (particularly Excel functions and formulas), email, Google Docs, and Dropbox Strong analytical skills and experience in data analytics, with the ability to interpret datasets and derive meaningful insights Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/tasks and deadlines This is a part-time position with flexibility for the right candidate.
