Research Associate II Analytical Development

Research Associate II, Analytical Development (12-Month Contract)

This position is 5 days/week onsite in San Carlos.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate II to join our Analytical Development team on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will support characterization and analytical testing of biologic drug candidates, with a particular focus on LC-MS-based methods .

Responsibilities :

• Execute analytical assays to support biologics characterization and development activities.
• Perform hands-on LC-MS analysis for protein and peptide characterization.
• Prepare samples, analyze data, and document results in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support method development, optimization, qualification, and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Process Development, Manufacturing, and Quality.
• Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure compliance with company procedures and documentation standards.

Qualifications :

• BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience, OR MS with a minimum of 1 year of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with LC-MS instrumentation and data analysis is required.
• Experience supporting analytical development activities for biologics is required.
• Familiarity with protein characterization techniques and analytical workflows is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
