# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Texas

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week seasonal contract, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM day shift available, rotating weekends, no call requirements

Highlights:

• 32-bed Level IV Labor and Delivery unit with high volume and diverse case mix
• Patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
• No call requirements with alternating weekend schedule
• EMR system: Meditech
• Collaborative team environment with charge nurse support on every shift
• Exposure to specialized equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, and ultrasound

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
• STABLE certification and intermediate fetal monitoring competency required
• Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), sterile vaginal exams (SVE), and C-Section circulation
• Preferred: Internal monitoring placement competency and experience in high-volume Level IV units
