Job Summary
The physician will perform all duties of a hematologist and/or medical oncologist. The physician will see patients at the Marshall Cancer Center in Cameron Park, CA and admitted patients at Marshall Hospital in Placerville, CA. This is a UC Davis Health Cancer Care Network site.
Medical Director - Marshall Cancer Center
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee hematology and oncology clinical operations, support quality improvement, and act as the primary liaison between the Marshall Cancer Center and UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center specialists.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Possess a valid California Medical License.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
- Employee must be Board Certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
- Employee must possess an MD or DO Degree.
- Employee shall have completed a medical internship at an accredited institution, completed a residency program in Internal Medicine at an accredited institution, and completed a medical fellowship in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
- Experience performing functions of a hematologist and/or medical oncologist.
- A. Skills required include the ability to manage the care of medical patients with complex conditions and broad range of illnesses and function effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- B. Knowledge required includes a good understanding of the common diseases that clinical physicians deal with on a daily basis. The incumbent must be experienced with and have a good understand of the health care systems in which they work and how to manage their patients' care needs.
- C. Abilities/competencies required include being able to function in a professional manner with regards to patients, families, colleagues; comply with all medical staff policies and procedures; and to be an effective communicator with a broad range of people.

The partnership connects the strengths of community medicine - such as locational convenience, personal relationships and local support services - with the strengths of university medicine and the National Cancer Institute-designated UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Marshall Cancer Center, a UC Davis Health Affiliate, offers medical oncology therapies with board certified physicians and chemotherapy-certified nurses.POSITION INFORMATION
