Make a meaningful impact in a supportive learning environment as a Special Education Teacher in the New Windsor area. These full-time, onsite contract positions offer the chance to work closely with small groups of students who are placed in classrooms tailored to their unique academic and developmental needs. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll play a vital role in students’ educational journeys, making every day rewarding and impactful.

Current Openings:

• Kindergarten/Elementary Special Education Teacher: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM. High need for Grades 1–3 classroom support.
• Preschool Special Education Teacher (SFP Program): Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Urgent need for preschool classroom coverage.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (Early Childhood and/or K–12 preferred)
• Prior experience working with self-contained or specialized classrooms is a plus
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation and documentation
• Collaborative approach to working alongside classroom support staff (1 teacher, 3 staff per room)
• Ability to adapt to the individual academic and behavioral needs of each student
• State clearance eligibility (required prior to assignment)

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction in a structured, supportive classroom setting
• Develop and monitor IEP goals and measurable student outcomes
• Partner with additional staff members to maintain a nurturing and organized environment
• Implement behavioral strategies and supports as determined by each student’s needs
• Communicate regularly with families and related service providers
