Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Location: New York, New York

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)

Schedule: Day/Evening Rotating | 5x8-Hour Shifts

Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Pay Range: $2800.00 - $3500.00 Weekly

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to provide specialized critical care for infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric critical care experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to manage complex patient conditions while supporting patients and families through the continuum of care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring

• Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders

• Manage and monitor conscious sedation procedures

• Perform pediatric IV insertion and phlebotomy

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment

• Recognize and respond to acute changes in patient condition

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Educate and support patients, parents, and caregivers

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License

• AHA BLS Certification

• AHA PALS Certification

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Critical Care / PICU experience

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric IV insertion experience

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric phlebotomy experience

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or higher from an accredited nursing program
