Pediatric Nursing PositionLocation: Anschutz Medical CampusDuration: 13 WeeksShift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)Responsibilities:Provide nursing care in an 82-bed pediatric unit with a patient ratio of 1:3-4, occasionally 1:2 based on acuity.Participate in modified self-scheduling through the internal scheduling committee.Work 10 weekend shifts per 8-week scheduling block (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).Float to various units including Medical, Oncology, Respiratory, Cardiac Acute Care, Rehab, NICU, and possible NOC sites.Manage high-flow oxygen weaning and administer ketamine and heparin drips.Requirements:Minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience in a large pediatric facility.Minimum 2 years of specialty experience.Experience with Trach/Vent patients, EVD and lumbar drains, chest tubes, JP drains, central lines, TPN/Lipids, CPM/Ortho/Halo traction, and various ostomy care.Experience in TBI, neuro assessments, seizure management, solid organ transplant patients (liver/kidney), and trauma and rehabilitation patients.Required Certification: BLSPreferred Skills:BSN preferred.Previous travel experience preferred.Benefits:Access to Medfusion and Baxter Sigma IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and CADD PCA pumps.VocSN trach ventilators and three additional ventilator types available.24/7 respiratory support and anesthesia support as needed.
