Pay : $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Location: Palmer, MA

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30PM

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, machinery, equipment, and light trucks to ensure safe and efficient operation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect and perform maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities, including but not limited to forklifts, warehouse equipment, vehicles, and machinery.

• Perform assigned repairs and maintenance tasks such as tune-ups, oil changes, tire and brake inspections, spark plug replacement, battery replacement, starter replacement, light repairs, fabrication work, and other related mechanical tasks.

• Identify mechanical problems through visual inspections and computer diagnostic equipment.

• Test tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly, including conducting test drives when necessary.

• Assist with inventory management of replacement parts, tools, and equipment.

• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance logs for all equipment.

• Notify management of equipment or facility malfunctions that may require replacement parts, repairs, or new equipment purchases.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area by properly storing tools and equipment after use.

• Assist with onboarding and training of new employees as needed.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Computer skills required: Time and Labor Management Systems and Microsoft Outlook or equivalent email software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.

• Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and humid environments.

• Work environment may involve exposure to high noise levels.

• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
