Project Manager, Learning and Development

Role Description

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience working in a fast-paced, global team as well as delivering a variety of projects successfully. This role includes balancing all aspects of project delivery while ensuring clear communication across the project team, account teams, consultants, and clients. A calm demeanor and ability to adapt to changing priorities will be crucial in delivering success under pressure.

You will report to the Project Management Team Lead and work closely with the Content, Design and Development Team and Business Development Team to develop and execute a clear project plan that meets a client brief.

You will enjoy working within a challenging, global environment, staying calm under pressure, and adapting your skills as needed to ensure excellent and smooth delivery of assigned tasks. You will take pride in producing highly accurate, error-free work that is of a high standard and will be transparent and clear in all your interactions.

You will be a true team player – taking accountability for a project whilst ensuring each stakeholder involved understands their responsibilities and performs their tasks to deadline. This is a US remote based position.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse portfolio of global multi-client projects of varying size, complexity, and deliverables.
• Create detailed and considered project plans using established templates and tools.
• Manage and maintain project plans, project trackers, finance systems, and ensure project-related operational tasks are performed consistently and with accuracy.
• Ensure projects are kept on the right path and consider all eventualities by putting contingency plans in place and managing risks accordingly.
• Lead project kick-off calls and ensure all project stakeholders are clear on their roles & responsibilities.
• Communicate and present project information and updates to all levels of stakeholders.
• Partner with the business development team to create client proposals and contribute to the delivery of pitches/RFPs.
• Create and manage complex budgets, ensuring projects do not exceed the given budget.
• Proactively collaborate with account teams and clients to find new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in project management/life science event management ideally in a learning and development environment. 5+ years preferred.
• Experience in working in an agency environment desirable.
• Experience in working in a pharmaceutical environment strongly preferred.
• Reside in Eastern or Central time zone preferred.
• Occasional travel if needed.
• PMP qualification or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Exceptional planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-Starter: Proactive attitude, takes ownership over projects.
• Experience in using project management and ERP systems (Smart sheet, Workday, Microsoft project).
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly to fulfil client requirements.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong financial acumen: Able to create, monitor and reconcile detailed budgets.
