Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. As a vital member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a telemetry unit focused on general medical-surgical needs.

Schedule and Shift Details

12-hour Night Shifts; 1900-0730

Every other weekend required

Holiday work required based on unit needs; travelers must work two major holidays.

Position Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit, monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Document patient assessments and interventions in an electronic health record system.

Adhere to safety and quality standards while continuously improving care practices.

Float to acute care or overflow/surge units as needed based on divisional requirements.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Telemetry RN in a hospital setting.

Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia test as part of the application process.

Unit Information

36 beds available: 29 private rooms and 7 semi-private spaces.

Patient-to-nurse ratio is generally 1:3 or 1:4.

Orientation and Credentialing

Candidates will attend an introductory orientation on the Monday and Tuesday of the start week.

Additional training sessions will include department-specific training and electronic medical record training.

Credentialing paperwork, including CBC, DS, and laboratory work, must be completed within three days of offer acceptance.
