Radiology - Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, consisting of 10-hour shifts. On-call requirements are also part of this role.

The Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will work in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization laboratories, performing a variety of procedures on adult patients. This role requires expertise in cardiac imaging procedures, management of sterile fields, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias. Candidates must possess current certifications and demonstrate skill and experience in relevant cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations.
• Conduct procedures such as cardiac stent placements, IABP placement/removal, and left and right heart catheterizations.
• Maintain sterile technique and manage equipment setup and scrub procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and interpret dysrhythmias during procedures.
• Collaborate with the cardiac care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in cardiac catheterization.
• Must hold current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and ARRT R (or RCIS, with ARRT preference).
• New York state licensure is required.
• Previous experience in a cardiac cath lab is essential.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is a hard requirement.
