Position Type: Locum-to-Perm | Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery
Overview

Excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery to join a dynamic team in Portsmouth, VA. This role offers a mix of inpatient and outpatient care, with training provided and the option to transition to a permanent position.
Practice Highlights

Reason for coverage: Short-staffed
Practice Type: 100% Adult
Inpatient: 75% | Outpatient: 25%
Weekend Rounds: Yes (5-10 patients per day)
Training Provided - support available for onboarding
EMR System: Epic
Hospital Privileges Required

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible - REQUIRED
Relevant Training/Experience - REQUIRED
Active Virginia License - REQUIRED
Active DEA - REQUIRED

Schedule & Coverage

Start Date: ASAP
Minimum Commitment: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation
Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days
