Associate Structural Engineer

Associate Structural Engineer KBR ISA (Integrated Solutions Americas) delivers integrated, end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction management services to the refining, LNG, midstream, chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas, power, and industrial infrastructure sectors. Our focus spans proprietary technology, consulting, and energy transition to complete delivery of major capital projects and programs. KBR is seeking motivated recent graduates and early-career engineers who are eager to begin a rewarding career in Naval Architecture and Structural Engineering as an Associate Structural Engineer. As part of our Integrated Solutions team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on the design and analysis of complex offshore structures and floating production systems. This role offers hands‑on experience with industry‑leading engineering tools, exposure to innovative offshore projects, and a strong foundation for professional growth in the energy and marine industries. Functional job responsibilities Participating in design and analysis of the offshore floating production or drilling units, such as semisubmersibles and FPSO’s Calculate wind and hydrodynamic loading for offshore floating structures Define load conditions and check the stability Strength, fatigue and buckling assessment of stiffened plating structures Utilize DNV SESAM software suite to perform the structural and hydrodynamic analysis Utilize FEA software to do structural analysis of offshore hull structures Writing technical reports Required Education, Experience, & Skills Graduated from an accredited college or university, with a baccalaureate, master's, or doctoral degree in civil/ structural engineering, naval architect, or mechanical engineering with 0-5 years of experience; Good academic standing as established by your college or university Experience in design of offshore structures KBR Benefits 401K plan with company match medical dental vision life insurance AD&D flexible spending account disability paid time off flexible work schedule We support career advancement through professional training and development.
