About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Data Science to serve as the organization-wide lead in managing and setting the strategic direction for data and AI initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with internal and external partners to launch these initiatives, identifying opportunities for advancement, and measuring their impact on the business. This role requires a hands-on approach, including program design, programming, modeling, and data analysis, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with business, finance, and executive leadership. The VP of Data Science will also be tasked with leading and developing a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of growth, inclusivity, and accountability. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' experience in a data science role, with a strong background in fundamental data science principles and programming with a variety of data science, management, and visualization tools. Experience in managing data science initiatives, including stakeholder and vendor management, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a clear familiarity with data architecture and operations, and experience in healthcare analytics, particularly in the area of revenue cycle management. The role demands a leader who can split their responsibilities across various functions and is adept at working closely with data architecture teams to operationalize new models.
