Our strategy includes building teams across our global network to pioneer and shape the future of PCI.Key ResponsibilitiesSustainable Procurement LeadershipServe as an embedded strategic partner within Procurement to influence sustainable purchasing decisions at scale across priority categories, suppliers, and regionsIntegrate environmental and social risk considerations alongside cost, business risk, and strategic fit into category strategies, sourcing decisions, and award recommendationsLead RFP/RFI sustainability evaluations, award recommendations, and final contract negotiations within assigned categories, ensuring alignment across sustainability, commercial, legal, and quality requirementsAct as the primary point of contact for sustainable procurement inquiries from external stakeholders, including customers, auditors, rating agencies, and partnersPartner with Finance and Sustainability teams to track major future expenditures, quantify carbon implications, and identify procurement levers that advance decarbonization goals and inform budgeting and capital planningFacilitate regular global ESG and sustainable procurement forums to ensure alignment on targets, initiatives, timelines, and performance expectationsDevelop and deploy global procurement policies, toolkits, governance frameworks, and training programs to embed ESG principles and risk management into sourcing strategies and supplier lifecycle managementScope 3 Emissions ManagementLead the global measurement, management, and reporting of Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable global regulatory requirements and reporting frameworksStreamline and enhance Scope 3 data collection by expanding the use of primary activity data and supplier-specific emissions data, improving transparency, data quality, coverage, and automationCollaborate with Finance to enhance data visibility, purchasing documentation, and controls to support accurate Scope 3 accounting and audit readinessPartner with internal and external stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact emissions reduction initiatives and supplier roadmaps in support of short- and long-term Scope 3 targetsSupport life cycle assessments, sustainable materials selection, and packaging optimization initiatives, ensuring compliance with emerging regulatory requirements including EU and California packaging regulationsSupplier Engagement & Risk ManagementBuild and maintain strategic relationships with priority suppliers to drive value-added collaboration, aligning supplier capabilities with sustainability goals, customer expectations, and the evolving global regulatory landscapeAssess supplier sustainability performance and analyze trends to identify risks and opportunities, developing targeted processes, workshops, training, and resource hubs to improve supplier performance and reduce supply chain riskManage priority suppliers through external sustainability and risk platforms including EcoVadis, CDP, SBTi, Supplier.io, and similar toolsConduct ESG-focused supplier assessments to proactively identify risks related to environmental performance, human rights, ethics, and due diligence requirements, and drive remediation and continuous improvement plansLead the collection, consolidation, and validation of procurement-related sustainability data for annual reports, customer requests, ratings, questionnaires, and external assessmentsProcess Excellence & GovernanceEstablish and own the procurement process framework - KPIs, SOPs, sourcing playbooks, and templates - that set the standard for how the organization sources across all categories and regionsLead structured rollout of new processes and standards through change management and training, ensuring sustainable adoption and an audit-ready posture for internal, customer, and regulatory reviewsServe as the process owner and SME for procurement policy and sourcing methodology, advising category managers and business partners on proper channels, escalation paths, and compliance requirementsMaintain procurement tool catalogue, training and utilization matrix on behalf of organizationKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDeep understanding of sustainable procurement, supply chain sustainability, and Scope 3 emissions managementStrong knowledge of global ESG reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging compliance expectationsDemonstrated ability to influence sourcing decisions and supplier behavior in complex, matrixed global organizationsExcellent analytical, data management, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, customers, and external stakeholdersProven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and execution disciplineHigh degree of collaboration, adaptability, and comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environmentsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required; Supply Chain, Business, Sustainability, Engineering, Finance, or related fieldMaster's degree or relevant professional certification (sustainability, supply chain, ESG) preferred12+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sustainability, supply chain, or related roles, including leadership responsibilityDemonstrated experience leading supplier engagement, ESG, or decarbonization initiatives in a global environmentStrong familiarity with Scope 3 emissions accounting methodologies and supplier data platformsExperience in heavily regulated industries managing external audits, customer inquiries, and ratingsProficiency in ERP systems required; JD Edwards (JDE) preferredCommitment to the highest standards of professional and ethical conductJoin us and be part of building the bridge between life changing therapies and patients.
