Event Custodian

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness of all types of flooring throughout the facility. Ensure that all areas remain free of trash. Maintain restrooms, dressing and locker rooms so that they are well kept, with tile surfaces dry and clean. Maintain all glass, steel, and office surfaces through dusting, cleaning and polishing. Be responsible for the proper storage of facility event equipment when not in use. Ensure that all emergency pathways are kept free and clear of obstructions. Keep housekeeping equipment and tools in working condition and notify the supervisor of any broken parts. Ensure all equipment and supplies are cleaned and returned to their proper place when finished. Complete daily checklists to ensure the cleanliness and safety of patrons attending each event. Assist clients with requests during events. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve housekeeping operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to meet customer expectations. Work effectively as a team and with other building departments. Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Management. Other duties may be assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills. Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic. Ability to lift at least 25 pounds. Knowledge of chemicals and equipment used for cleaning. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
