Location: Carlsbad, NM

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Days, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with one Saturday per month and holidays required.

Job Description: The Occupational Therapist will facilitate the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing the functional status of hospitalized patients. Responsibilities include performing evaluations, planning and implementing age-appropriate treatment programs, participating in discharge planning, attending care plan meetings, and fulfilling administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct OT evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Implement and modify treatment programs as needed.
• Participate in discharge planning and care plan meetings.
• Perform administrative duties and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Pursue professional growth and development.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1+ years of Occupational Therapy experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Current NM state licensure is required.
• Acute care experience is mandatory.
