Human Resources Generalist

Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Location: White Plains, NY Type: Direct-Hire Permanent Opportunity Compensation: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually Work Model: Will start out working in the office five days a week, but can eventually work remotely one day a week. Hours: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM | Monday-Friday Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities: Oversee the full-cycle, day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance. Manage employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Conduct regular audits of HR processes to ensure adherence to legal requirements and identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases. Coordinate background checks and employment eligibility verifications. Facilitate new hire orientation and utilize the applicant tracking system for recruitment activities. Prepare reports on HR functions and initiatives for management. Assist with employee relations, performance management, and employee recognition programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA. Support payroll functions, including accurate reporting and wage garnishments. Handle employment-related inquiries, disciplinary actions, and investigations. Support employee separation processes such as exit interviews and COBRA notifications. Stay current with HR best practices, trends, and regulatory changes. Support special projects and perform other related duties as required. Human Resources Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of four (4) years of related work experience, or a combination of both. Minimum of 5 years of direct HR experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite. Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Physical ability to lift up to 15 pounds and access all organizational facilities.
