This role is intentionally structured to help you grow:

• Academic Appointment with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine-ideal if you enjoy teaching and mentoring

• Work closely with psychiatry residents and medical students , shaping the next generation of physicians

• Opportunities to participate in research and contribute to advancing psychiatric care

• Be part of a system with 13 residency programs and 16 fellowships , including Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Meaningful Clinical Work-With Balance

• Manage a focused inpatient caseload (10-12 patients/day)

• Treat an acute adult population in a high acuity, short-duration environment

• Lead a multidisciplinary team , enhancing both patient outcomes and your leadership skills

• Practice in a setting that values quality over volume , allowing you to deliver thoughtful, patient-centered care

What You Bring

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Board certification or eligibility (ABPN)

• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
