U-HAUL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

U-Haul is looking for skilled technicians to ensure that our newest fleet of Ford and GMC trucks remains in top condition for our customers. Whether you are just starting your career or already have vehicle repair experience, U-Haul offers a dynamic environment with the latest equipment and comprehensive training. We offer a Technician Training Program that includes classes from Ford, GMC, and U-Haul, a tool-purchase program (tools are provided for preventive maintenance technicians), and a pay‑plus bonus incentive. Primary Responsibilities: Secure trucks on lifts and ramps. Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts. Perform tire and brake maintenance. Occasionally road‑test vehicles. Use a proprietary electronic pre‑inspection checklist. Assist in additional areas as directed by the supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred. Driver’s license. Ability to work as part of a team and independently. Basic computer skills. Regular attendance. Physical Demands: While performing the duties required, you should be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. (assisted or unassisted) and frequently move, stand, sit, and operate beneath equipment. The work involves manual labor and safe practices, including the use of protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or shields.
