Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary

Role and Responsibilities The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. Key duties include assisting physicians with bronchoscopies, managing ventilator protocols, performing advanced airway care, and delivering specialized procedures such as Nitric Oxide and surfactant delivery. The role also involves monitoring high-frequency ventilators, performing intubations, extubations, and attending high-risk deliveries in NICU settings. Additional responsibilities may include transport, backup staffing, and departmental duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Candidates should hold an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, and Respiratory Care Practitioner-NM license. BLS certification is required, with ACLS and/or PALS preferred. Prior critical care experience is advantageous.
