Job Description

The General Production Worker supports the manufacturing of filtration media and products in a GMP-compliant environment. This role involves preparing and mixing raw materials, operating and assisting with equipment setup, monitoring production schedules, performing basic quality control tests, and maintaining accurate production documentation. The position also includes material handling and light janitorial duties to keep the production area organized and safe.

Responsibilities

• Produce filtration media and products while strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Identify, gather, and prepare the raw materials required for each production batch.
• Mix raw materials according to established procedures and batch specifications.
• Assist with the setup and adjustment of production equipment for each batch.
• Monitor the production schedule and make appropriate adjustments to meet operational needs and timelines.
• Perform basic quality control tests as required to ensure product consistency and compliance with standards.
• Complete accurate and thorough production documentation for each batch, including any required logs and records.
• Carry out material handling duties as needed to move, stage, and organize products and raw materials.
• Perform basic janitorial tasks within the production area to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Work collaboratively with team members in production, shipping, and other areas to support smooth workflow and operations.
• Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures when using hand tools and production machinery.
• Participate in general labor tasks such as mixing, packaging, packing, and assembly as required by daily production needs.

Essential Skills

• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math to support measuring, mixing, and documentation activities.
• Willingness and ability to learn new processes, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate mixing, documentation, and quality checks.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
• Solid documentation skills to accurately record batch information and production data.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks including assembly, packaging, and material handling.
• Comfort working with hand tools and production machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform visual inspection to identify defects or irregularities in products.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kingston, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
