Job Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Social Work from a State accredited program Licensure: Texas Certification; Texas Driver's License Experience: One year social work experience in hospice. Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively Work as a team member Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills Transportation: Must have reliable transportation Valid auto insurance Must pass Criminal background check. Drug screen will be administered prior to employment. If has a Bachelor’s degree and is hired after 12/02/08, must be supervised by a Master’s of Social Work (§418.114). Licensure: State Licensure/Certification; State Driver’s License Experience: One (1) year social worker experience in a health care agency preferred. Skills: Working knowledge of community resources. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Sensitivity to issues of loss and grief; Ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. Transportation: Reliable transportation. Health: TB health screen or TB test/CXR according to policy; Hepatitis B Vaccination Consent/Declination Environmental and Working Conditions: Works in patient homes in various conditions; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather.
