IT Manager - Network Operations

Salary: $120,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a strong commitment to embedding security into daily decisions and responsibilities.
• We require 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
• We require 2+ years of people management experience, including hiring, one-on-ones, career coaching or mentoring, performance reviews, and salary reviews.
• We require the ability to work 4:00 p.m. CST to 1:00 a.m. CST.
• We require experience with network technologies supporting LAN, WAN, cloud, and broadband, including VPN, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
• We require familiarity with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP/RMON, and RDP.
• We require experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and with sprint teams using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• We require excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in a large technology or network environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure technologies, products, and services is preferred.
• Strong understanding of core networking concepts and technologies is preferred.
• Experience with Jira and ServiceNow is preferred.
• The ability to question existing approaches, identify suitable solutions, and align stakeholders across the organization is preferred.
• A track record of improving outcomes through proactive coaching and development is preferred.

• We lead the day-to-day operations of the Network Operations team and provide overall direction and supervision.
• We ensure assigned technical team members are effective, fully utilized, and supported in their development.
• We partner with senior management and cross-functional teams to align NetOps priorities with organizational goals.
• We maintain appropriate staffing and scheduling to meet demand and respond quickly to network and server issues or outages.
• We manage escalations, including quarter-backing P1 incidents and coordinating support across internal and external stakeholders.
• We oversee tools, systems, and procedures to improve issue management and customer support.
• We balance risk against business priorities and respond with the right level of urgency.
• We provide broad expertise across Network Operations functions.
• We supervise network operations across 9 data centers in North America and Europe, including Cisco IOS, Arista, Nexus, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Infoblox DDI appliances.
• We manage WAN connectivity for multiple corporate campuses and more than 6,000 branches, including VMWare VeloCloud routers and Meraki APs and switches.
• We oversee break/fix resolution and uphold high service delivery standards.
• We serve as an escalation point for complex incidents and outages affecting high-revenue locations.
• We coordinate with third-party providers for tier 1 support and manage escalation workflows.
• We lead larger network projects and ensure they are completed on time and successfully.
• We collaborate with project teams to plan, execute, and track network infrastructure initiatives.
• We drive opportunities that support our cloud networking goals.
• We own multiple concurrent efforts and roadmaps through close coordination with internal IT teams and external vendors.
• We develop and implement processes that improve operational efficiency.
• We monitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
• We support continuous improvement, including automation of network operations tasks and reporting, enterprise-wide monitoring initiatives, and routine administration.
