Warehouse Specialist

Johnstone Supply is seeking a warehouse specialist to support our warehouse and delivery operations. This hands-on role ensures inventory accuracy, safe and efficient delivery operations, and exceptional customer service. You'll work closely with branch leadership, drivers, and cross-functional teams to help keep our operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage warehouse operations including receiving, labeling, put-away, and order fulfillment.
• Oversee customer product returns, warranty processing, and freight claims—file and report shortages, damages, and incorrect shipments. Coordinate with purchasing, vendors, and accounting to reconcile invoices. Run reports to track picking and receiving accuracy.
• Maintain warehouse organization, safety, and compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Operate material handling equipment safely, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and order pickers.
• Manage delivery operations and company vehicles: review manifests, inspect trucks, ensure correct items and routes, monitor driver performance, and maintain maintenance schedules.
• Assist with staffing support, cross-training, and team development as needed.
• Support customer service at the branch, including answering phones, assisting at the counter, and helping contractors.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of warehouse operations experience in a wholesale or distribution environment.
• Preferred: experience in HVACR or related industry.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and follow safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
