Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an AVP, Roadway Group Director to be based in Minneapolis, MN. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our roadway initiatives, driving innovative solutions and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that enhance infrastructure and mobility. If you are passionate about shaping the future of transportation and possess a proven track record in managing large-scale roadway projects, we invite you to bring your expertise to our organization and help us make a lasting impact in the communities we serve.Job Responsibilities:Serves as lead for mid to large size highway / roadway projects.Business Development including prospecting and proposal development with established relationships with local clients including MnDOT, local Counties and local agency specifications, policies and procedures.Alternative delivery projects prospecting, proposals and project procurements.Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.Approves and signs off on work.Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.Presents complex technical solutions to clients.Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.Participates in development of technical proposals.Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline components of PA/ED and PS&E packages.Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.Prepares technical specification sections.Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationMust have a valid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer license in Minnesota or ability to obtain within six monthsProject Management experience in transportation projectsComputer proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCad software packages, including OpenRoads Designer and Civil3DAbility to proactively communicate and lead department staffEstablished relationships with local clients: 10 + years of experience and familiarity with MnDOT and MN Counties including local agency specifications, policies and proceduresAlternative delivery project experienceStrong / proven business development capabilities with municipal, regional and state decisionmakers and contactsAdditional InformationAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
