We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in Palm Beach Gardens. Position Summary The Medical Assistant works closely with our dermatology providers and clinical team to support efficient, high-quality patient care. This position involves preparing patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers during visits, accurately documenting clinical information, and helping maintain an organized and efficient clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain/document relevant medical history, medications, allergies, and reason for visit Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Prepare examination and procedure rooms before and between patients Assist providers with general dermatology examinations and procedures Assist with biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, injections, and other in-office dermatologic procedures as appropriate Set up and maintain sterile fields and procedure trays Provide wound-care instructions and reinforce provider-directed patient education Prepare specimens and complete appropriate pathology documentation Take clinical photographs when required Assist with prescription requests, pharmacy communications, and prior authorizations as directed Return patient calls and communicate provider instructions within the scope of the Medical Assistant role Maintain appropriate inventory of clinical supplies Follow infection-control, sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and patient-safety standards Clean and disinfect examination rooms and medical equipment according to established protocols Work collaboratively with providers, front-office staff, and other clinical team members to maintain efficient patient flow Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate service to every patient Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Dermatology experience strongly preferred Medical Assistant certification preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical practice Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Experience with electronic medical records preferred Knowledge of HIPAA and basic clinical safety standards What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands that excellent patient care requires both clinical competency and exceptional customer service.
