This role sits at the heart of transforming how JLL manages its global financial operations. As Director of R2R Product Design with AI Innovation, you will shape the design and strategy of one of the first agentic AI transformations inside JLL's finance technology organization — transforming how JLL manages journal processing and month end close activities including agentic validation and posting of manual journal entries (MJE), GenAI-generated first-draft flux/variance commentary grounded in the underlying transaction data, and Oracle Data Platform / Oracle AskData-style natural-language reporting that lets Finance ask questions of close data directly instead of waiting on a manual report cycle. As a key member of our existing R2R product focused team and working in conjunction with our JLL finance teams and our external delivery and vendor partners your role will be responsible for the delivery of various enhancements across R2R delivering the evolution of journal processing, month end close activities and reporting. As a subject matter expert, you will own design authority before delivery — signing off that AI/integration initiatives are properly designed for business value and enterprise robustness before they enter build, not after. And you'll do this with direct exposure to senior Finance Technology leadership and meaningful influence over JLL's Accelerate 2030 strategic programme. Role Overview Job Title: Director, R2R Product Design Function: Corporate Finance Technologies (CFT)Reports To: Executive Technology Product Manager Location: Gurugram, India (hybrid working: 3 days in office, 2 days flexible)Key Stakeholders: VP Finance Operations, Global Controller, Regional Finance Directors, Solutions Architecture, Enterprise Data & AI Platform The CFT R2R team is responsible for the end-to-end product strategy, design, and delivery of JLL's Record to Report Platform. The team supports core finance operations across 60+ countries and works closely with Finance, Engineering, and Production Support to deliver continuous improvement and strategic transformation at global scale. This role is a named contributor to JLL's Accelerate 2030/Enterprise Business Objectives (EBO) strategy, with direct accountability against the platform-modernization and data/AI pillars. What's Different at Director Level Design authority before delivery — you own the design roadmap and sign off that AI/integration initiatives are properly designed for business value and enterprise robustness before they enter build, not after Cross-portfolio scope — spans billing/order processing, accounts receivable, and third-party integrations, rather than one workstream Build-vs-buy decision authority — make and defend recommendations on AI and automation tooling, with clear input to procurement decisions and alignment with our Finance partners and Delivery partners Direct leadership visibility — present design and investment roadmaps to senior Finance Technology leadership directly Transformation leadership — guide the organization through AI-enabled process redesign, not just system configuration Strategic Context This role supports the R2R modernization program currently underway across billing, accounts receivable, and integration workstreams — translating strategy into a coherent design roadmap where AI and integration initiatives are proven out for business value before entering delivery. You will operate at the intersection of finance operations, enterprise technology, and AI innovation, with significant input to how JLL deploys agentic automation across financial processes that directly impact operational efficiency, month end close aligned to critical reporting dates, ensure auditability and SOC compliance and drive business insights through enhanced reporting capabilities. What You Will Do 1. Product Strategy & Design Leadership Support the end-to-end R2R product design strategy — from concept through launch and iteration — grounding every design decision in measurable business benefit Direct the design, modification, and evaluation of R2R solutions across the portfolio Partner with Product Owners and Product Support in balancing current-state support with forward design work Build and maintain a performance framework that provides visibility into design quality, process efficiency, and business value delivered Present strategic roadmaps and investment cases to Finance Technology leadership and R2R Steering Committee 2. Record to Report Design Guide design of core R2R enhancements including Month end journal processing, Flux commentary and month end close activities. Identify and prioritize opportunities to streamline existing processes through digitization and automation design, including agentic AI capabilities Ensure all design decisions support financial close, month-end reporting, and revenue assurance requirements across 60+ countries Design solutions that maintain compliance with regional regulatory requirements and internal controls 3. AI, Agentic Automation & Integration Design Research and propose GenAI use cases across R2R — intelligent cash application, proactive collections optimization, automated dispute resolution, working-capital forecasting — each backed by a feasibility assessment on JLL's internal data/AI platform, validated with Engineering Build ROI-based business cases for GenAI and automation initiatives in partnership with Finance operations partners, demonstrating measurable impacts Make and defend build-vs-buy decisions on AI and automation tooling, with clear recommendations on vendor selection, platform integration, and total cost of ownership Present AI and automation recommendations, with a prioritized roadmap, to Finance Technology leadership Partner with Enterprise Data & AI teams to assess technical feasibility of AI initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise AI governance standards 4. Governance, Compliance & Controls Apply audit and compliance principles (including SOX) to the design of billing and revenue-related workflows Ensure design deliverables support timely resolution of priority O2C issues and minimize post-deployment errors Maintain design documentation to the standard required for audit and compliance purposes Design AI/automation solutions that preserve appropriate financial controls and audit trails Participate in monthly O2C Steering Committee and quarterly CFT Portfolio Review governance forums What We Are Looking For Required 10+ years' experience with a major ERP finance platform supporting Order-to-Cash operations, with strong preference for PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Deep functional expertise across the R2R lifecycle and demonstrate experience of delivering changes that have delivered tangible benefits Strong understanding of financial close, month-end reporting, and revenue assurance processes in a global, multi-entity environment Experience contributing to at least one global ERP rollout or large-scale finance transformation program Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior finance and technology stakeholders Proven experience scoping, validating, and deploying AI/ML or automation use cases in finance operations, with ability to provide specific examples of business value delivered Preferred Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools and platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Oracle AI DP/Apex) in an enterprise finance context Familiarity with agentic workflow frameworks (such as LangChain, AutoGen, or similar orchestration tools) Experience implementing AI solutions subject to financial controls and SOX requirements, with understanding of explainability and auditability needs Working knowledge of cloud-based AI/data platform capabilities and enterprise integration patterns PeopleSoft or Oracle certification/accreditation Change management or transformation leadership experience, particularly in introducing AI/automation capabilities to finance operations teams Location: Remote –Warsaw, POL If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all of the requirements.
