Overview
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Templeton, CA. Start date 08/31/2026 for 18 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,591-$2,826. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Night shift, 3x12s. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive perinatal nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, coordinating with the healthcare team.
- Monitor fetal well-being and maternal status; recognize and manage perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia); facilitate timely multidisciplinary interventions.
- Provide pain management support in labor, including epidural placement assistance and monitoring after administration.
- Educate patients and families across all stages of the perinatal and postpartal period, tailoring teaching to age, culture, and readiness.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and ancillary staff; supervise and delegate tasks within scope of practice; ensure accurate, legible documentation of care and patient response (including EPIC charting).

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California).
- Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience; LDRP model experience strongly preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) required.
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
- Licensure and certifications must be in good standing; ability to work night shifts and rotate as needed; no required on-call duties for this assignment.
